3 flights of stairs or an elevator ride up is Gallery on Waymouth's newly renovated open air gallery garden. This is an amazing environment you must see next time you are in the city of Adelaide.
The artworks displayed are thematically that of freedom and relaxation and rely heavily on the symbolism of birds and feathers. Nearby is the living wall, sprouting mint, oregano and rosemary. Sprawling beneath it is a network of custom built benches branching across the floor space in diagonals.
These photos document some of the installation process of the artworks

I made a couple more smaller bearcats last night and then moved on to painting the bigger ones that came out of the kiln today. Another firing and then an oxide. Finished product coming soon!
I use a lot of Feeneys Buff Raku Trachyte (BRT) for the construction of my clay sculptures. It's a strong, durable clay that I generally use for slab building but also enjoy using it for hand building techniques.
It's a coarse clay which when fired turns a sand colour with dark speckles.
